Starting a Flagship Blog

There are literally hundreds of ways that individuals can make money through internet marketing. It seems that one of the hardest parts of creating an income with the internet is deciding what methods to use to achieve your goals. Flagship blogging is a huge topic that could never be covered in a single post. For that reason, this will be a series that will last for at least two weeks.
Definition of a Flagship Blog
A flagship blog is a special kind of blog that is intended to develop a huge audience or following. Flagship blogging is very different from ‘blogging by keyword sniping’. Frankly, flagship blogs require about 1000 times more work - but can also deliver 1000 times more results.
Flagship Blogging vs. Keyword Sniping
To establish a solid online portfolio, you want to create a variety of sites, and this will usually include a variety of keyword sniping sites. These sites are perfect for passive income because they can generally produce well with little maintenance.
Flagship blogs, on the other hand will require a significant amount of maintenance. Some of you might be asking yourselves why you would want to have a flagship blog in your online portfolio when they require a lot more maintenance than other types of sites. I have chosen to have a flagship blog because they have several remarkable characteristics that make them stand out. They are extremely:
Brandable - Any good flagship blog is able to establish a strong brand that can be used to sell a variety of products and services. Since most solid companies are a combination of a trusted brand and a solid sales team, you can probably see why this can give you an enormous competitive advantage.
Residual - After a flagship blog is established, its traffic will sustain itself, in fact the traffic of a good flagship blog will grow itself with little continued effort. With an established brand, readers will start to promote your flagship for you. Although search engine traffic is essential for the establishment of a flagship blog, they aren’t really reliant on search traffic for sustenance.
Saleable - Flagship blogs are sold everyday for huge amounts of money. This has to do primarily with their ability to gather returning visitors, their brandable nature, and the easy ways they can be monetized.
Monetizable - Flagship blogs have literally thousands of options for monetization. The individuals and companies that have the most success monetizing flagship blogs are those that are developing their own products, but there are also plenty of other options for monetizing flagship blogs. Most great flagship blogs have the ability to sell a variety of affiliate products and make great money through direct advertising.
Who Should Have A Flagship Blog?
In my honest opinion, no individual should have more than one flagship blog. This type of blog will require a hefty amount of time to establish and going for two or more will only delay the results exponentially. Anyone that is willing to pay the price until it works can establish this type of a site.
Flagship blogging requires patience, commitment, and determination. If you lack those traits, I would recommend starting with a different kind of online business.
Getting Started With A Flagship Blog
The first topic that we will need to go over to help you to establish a profitable flagship blog is topic selection. Since that topic in itself is enormous, we are going to dedicate the next post in this series to it. I look forward to helping each of you to see the enormous potential of flagship blogging.
